In Memory of Jeffrey W. Bruce Jeffrey W. Bruce was born March 3, 1958 in Tacoma, WA to Annie and Thomas Bruce. He passed quietly at Tacoma General on November 20th with family and friends by his side. While here, Jeff enjoyed track, basketball, tennis, time with friends, and visiting San Diego, and his membership and work with The Human Rights Comm-ission, Young Achievers Committee, and WSU's African American Alumni Alliance where he focused on recruitment of students of color and served as President of this association for 6 years. To mourn his passing, he leaves behind his wife Bernice, brother Robert Thompson, sisters Linda Logan, Glynis McClain, and Carvedia Martin and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and nephews. Jeff was loved. Family and friends will honor Jeff's life at a memorial service Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 11:00 am, at Allen AME church on Martin L. King Way. In lieu of flowers, his wife requests donations be sent to the WSU Alumni Assoc.,Lewis Alumni Ctr. PO Box 646150, Pullman, WA 99164-6150. The donation is to the Jeff Bruce African American Memorial Scholarship fund.
