John Axel Frederick Hallberg 2 Oct. 1984 - 28 Nov. 2013 On Thanksgiving of this year John's life tragically ended. He spent his last day with family and friends, having reunited with the love of his life Jennifer Keating. John was never one to do things by halves; he was a person of passion who loved the people in his life immensely. He leaves behind an amazing son, Axel, and his fianc e Jen, parents Vivian and Joe Hallberg, sisters Elizabeth Hallberg, Vicki Gross, and Terri Maneval, brothers Joey and Jeff Hallberg, uncles Erin and Fred Haynes, in-laws Vicki and Gary Keating, and many other remarkable people. John was a Tacoma native, attending St. Patrick's and Bellarmine, graduating from high school in 2003. His wanderlust was never sated - he was never one to turn down an opportunity to travel. John served in the U.S. Air Force as a C-17 Loadmaster for three years before finding a place with DHL-Global Forwarding as a Regional Program Manager. He was a proud student of WSU, working to finish his degree. We will carry John with us always, in so many ways. Hug'em, while you got'em. Donations in his memory can be made to www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 7th, at 12:00 noon at Hill Funeral Home in Puyallup, 253-845-1172.
