Darlene Humphrey Anderson Darlene Humphrey Anderson, age 85, passed away peacefully at home in Lakewood December 19th after a two year battle with ovarian cancer. Darlene was born May 22, 1928 in Salt Lake City, UT to Isaac Humphrey and Twila Humphrey. Darlene earned her BS in Elementary Education from the University of Utah in 1950. She had son David with late husband George R. Daly. They divorced after the war. She met her late husband Dr. Frederic J. Anderson in college. They moved to Lakewood in 1961, where Darlene taught elementary school. She retired in 1987 after 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She belonged to ADPi, Oakbrook Country Club, AAUW, Retired Teachers, Mary Bridge Orthopedic, Interlaaken Garden Club, and Christ Lutheran Quilting Group. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Frederic J. Anderson, her father Isaac Humphrey, her mother Twila Humphrey, her brother Ronald Humphrey, her brother Marlin Humphrey, and by her sister Geraldine Smith. Darlene is survived by brother Donald Humphrey (Mary Jane) of Lincoln, NE, sister Twila Mae Isaacson (Sam) of Salt Lake City, UT, her four children, David Anderson of Shoreline, WA, Katie Nova of Kailua-Kona, HI, Doug Anderson (Mary) of Edmonds, WA, and Michael Anderson (Joan) of Kent, WA, and her grandson Christopher Anderson of Ballard, WA.
