DARREL WRIGHT

1933 - 2016

Darrel George Wright Darrell was born November 7, 1933 to parents Lucille Hannah and Edmund Langford Wright. Darrell was 1 of 4 children: Jack, Ed, and Lois. He joined the Navy during the Korean War and retired after 20 years. He worked for Xerox and Unico Properties, and in the Holman Building. He loved being Santa for many children and adults. He also served in the Boy Scouts for 22 years. He was preceded in death by Colleen, his wife of 58 years, and his son Tom. He found happiness this past year with his marriage to Judy. He is survived by his daughter Lynn, his son Rick, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Darrell is a faithful member of the LDS Church. He served as Bishop several times, and he also served as a temple worker. Darrell will be greatly missed by many family and friends, whose lives he blessed. Funeral services will be held at the LDS Church at 11212 S 17th Ave. E, Tacoma, WA 98445, at 11:00am on Monday, April 18, 2016.
