Shirley McDonald

Shirley McDonald, 89, of Seymour, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Schneck Medical Center.
Born Nov. 19, 1923, in Seymour, he was the son of Joseph and Vesie (Jackson) McDonald. He married Ethel Cole, who survives.
Shirley proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a contractor.
Survivors include his children, Ron (Sharon) McDonald, Kathy King, Larry (Sandy) McDonald and Jennifer (Sinclair) Wheeler; and grandchildren, Greg McDonald, Kristin McDonald Campbell, Matt McDonald, Sinclair Patrick Wheeler, Lora Pelzek, Kimberly Myers, Stacie Roberts, Tammy Fateley, Ron McDonald Jr. and Josh McDonald.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois Payne; and brothers, Milton McDonald, Roy McDonald, Harold McDonald, Clarence McDonald, Ray McDonald and Duane McDonald.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Friends may call from noon until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
