Greg Waggoner, 48, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born Dec. 26, 1964, in Seymour, he was the son of Wayne and Beverly (Emily) Waggoner of Seymour. They survive. He married Tina Vollrath on Nov. 28, 1992. She survives.
Greg was an electrical engineer at Crane Naval Station for 25 years. He graduated in 1983 from Seymour High School and in 1987 from Purdue University. He was a member of Avoca Baptist Church. He loved his children, fantasy football, baseball, gardening and pitching horseshoes with his father.
Other survivors include two sons, Curtis Waggoner and Kyle Waggoner, both of Mitchell; two brothers, Jeff (Amy) Waggoner, North Vernon, and Matt (Tracey) Waggoner, Garrison, N.D.; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and father- and mother-in-law, Tom and Sarah Vollrath, Marysville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cleve and Thelma Emily and Nellie and Glenn Waggoner; and his uncles, J.B. and Gary Emily.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Avoca Baptist Church with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Avoca Baptist Church Family Life Center.
