Jane Meyer, 59, of Seymour, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Sept. 14, 1953, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Marvin and Norma (Darlage) Wischmeier. On July 30, 1977, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wegan, she married Gary Meyer, who survives.
Jane was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a 1971 graduate of Brownstown Central High School, graduated from the Marion County General Hospital School of Nursing in 1974 and in 1979 received her bachelor of science degree from the Indiana University School of Nursing. Jane went on to earn a master's degree in 2003 from the Indiana University School of Nursing as an adult nurse practitioner. In 2006, she completed her degree as a family nurse practitioner from Northern Kentucky University. Jane employed her nursing skills at Schneck Medical Center in the Intensive Care Unit, as house supervisor, in chronic disease management and as a certified diabetic educator. Later, she worked at Legacy Primary Care Physicians as a licensed board certified nurse practitioner, where she used her knowledge and talents to serve her patients.
Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by her children, Megan (Justin) Blomenberg and Matthew Meyer, M.D.; grandchildren, Ava Blomenberg and Ella Blomenberg; sisters, Carol (James) Lambring and Judy (Mark) Tape; brothers, Jerry (Dawn) Wischmeier and Tim (Kandy) Wischmeier; sister-in-law, Betty (Jon) Wibbler; nieces and nephews, Jamey (John) Doriot, Chris (Kasee) Lambring, Courtney Lambring, Clint (Erin) Tape, Lance (Liz) Tape, Jerrica and Colton Wischmeier, Kylee, Kelsey and Kassidy Wischmeier, Julie (Dan) Helfen and Nicole (Ben) Crawford; great-nieces and great-nephews, Emma and Sophia Doriot and Noah Lambring, Ally and Aubry Crawford, and Quinn and Ty Helfen.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Alvah Meyer, and mother-in-law, Lucille Meyer.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Seymour, with the Rev. Jeffrey Stuckwisch officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Wegan.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel and from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.
