Margaret Ellen Susnick, 80, Austin, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Austin.
Margaret was a retired school teacher having taught 34 years with Scott School District 2 and 13 years with Crothersville Community Schools. She was a graduate of Indiana University, receiving a master's degree. She was a member and played piano at Alliance Bible Church in Crothersville; a member of Daughters of the American Revolution General Charles Scott ­chapter; a member of Phi Beta Psi-Theta Nu chapter of Crothersville for more than 50 years; a member of the National Education Association and Indiana State Teachers Association; a former member of Tampico Christian Church; and a graduate of Tampico High School.
Born Sept. 2, 1932, in Manchester, Ky., she was the daughter of William Coldiron and Vernon Hacker Coldiron. She married Logan Susnick.
Survivors include her husband, Logan Susnick of Austin; son, Will (Donalee) Susnick of Tampico; and two grandchildren, Brittany Giblson and Travis Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Stewart and Hoagland Funeral Home, Scottsburg, with Rudy Hamblin officiating. Burial will take place at Austin Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Alliance Bible Church c/o Stewart and Hoagland Funeral Home, Scottsburg.
