Ronald Paul Sage, 79, a lifelong resident of Crothersville, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at his home.

Born June 10, 1934, in Jackson County, he was the son of Ronald "Bud" and Elma Doloris (Sweany) Sage, both of whom are deceased.
Ronald was a 1952 Crothersville High School graduate. He was a member of Crothersville Christian Church and Norman Conservation Club, and he was an avid motorcyclist and Indiana University fan. He enjoyed camping and bluegrass music.
On May 28, 1955, in Yuma, Ariz., he married Charlotte L. (Harmon) Sage, who preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 2003.
Ronald retired after 15 years of owing his own business, Sage's Cleaning Service. Ronald also was employed at Arvin in Seymour and Nolting's Grocery in Brownstown.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Sage of Crothersville and Cindy (Raymond) McIntosh of Crothersville; three granddaughters, Kristen (Bill) Engelking of Paris Crossing, Keri Hobbs of Seymour and Kim (Brandon Prince) Rickard of Vallonia; unofficial grandson, Quinn Saevre of Columbus; 10 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Doloris Roth of Nashville, Tenn., Larry Joe (Mary) Sage of Hartsville, Linda Gail (Richard) Lewis of Nineveh and Dennis Webster Sage of Greensburg.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dixie Kiewitt; and a brother, James Farmer.
The Rev. David Schill will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, with burial to follow at Cana Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to Norman Conservation Club or to Ronald's eldest great-granddaughter, Destiny Engelking, to help pay for her class trip to Chicago in May. It was Ronald's wish that she would have the funds to go on the trip.
