Rosemary Jenkinson, Seymour, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at her residence.

Rosemary was a graduate of Louisville Male High School, earned her undergraduate degree at Western Kentucky University and a graduate degree at Indiana University. She spent her life in secondary education, starting in the Jefferson County School system, and culminated her career at Seymour High School, where she retired as vice principal in 1999. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, was an avid golfer, was active in several sororities and garden club, and was a world-renowned "professional" shopper.
Born Oct. 20, in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of Emmett and Dorothy Long. On June 1, 1974, she married Herbert "Herb" M. Jenkinson, who preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2004.
Survivors include her children, Gregg (Rechie) Jenkinson, Brett (Debra) Jenkinson, Chris (Heather) Spencer and Ann (Alex) Cain; eight grandchildren; and brothers, Terry and Steve Long.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb; parents, Dot and Emmett; and sister-in-law, Shirley.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, with the Rev. Daniel Lepley officiating.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center, 411 W. Tipton St., Seymour, or Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Tri-County Crematory, Seymour, owned and operated by Voss Funeral Service.
