We have lost one of the great ones. What a blessing to grow up knowing Mr. Wintin and what an honor it was to be able to call him Walt in the recent years. The Wiethoff's were so lucky when Frankie and Sarah were married and our families joined together. You will be missed by many.

My deepest sympathy to the Winton family. I was in one of Mr. Winton's math classes over 30 years ago. I will always remember him as a gifted teacher who taught so much more than math. He taught the importance of kindness, patience, humility, humor and so much more. He was truly a great man.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family. Walt was a wonderful man and a friend. We spent many hours setting up tournaments in the Gym, his energy was endless. I'll always remember Walt & I singing "There's A Tear In My Beer" over the speakers at the 1990 Wrestling Regionals. Walt left a trail of happiness to many, a Teacher, Coach, Marine, Friend, and much more to his loved ones.

What a wonderful man with a wonderful family. I always appreciated him, as a teacher, a great friend of Mom and Dad's, and a great guy all around. I always remember you and Dad standing across the hall from each other at Shields Junior High School - who couldn't help but want to go into either of those classrooms and learn Algebra? Cheers to a great guy and his family! I speak on behalf of the Steinberger family - you will be missed. Billie and boys - great hugs to you and yours. Jill Steinberger Wood

I really enjoyed our conversations at the class reunion of 1962 last year. We all played golf and it was a very pleasant experience to reminisce. He was the wrestling coach and I was one of the first to wrestle for Seymour. I also had him for algebra when we had a zero class hour. That was at 7am. Great guy and teacher. He will be missed and hard to find dedicated teachers like Walter. Always remembered him through out my life's journey. God bless all his family and friends.
