Bonnie Elaine (Shippee) Findley, 63, Seymour, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at home.

Born July 16, 1950, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Robert "Bob" and Patsy "Pat" (Gibson) Shippee. On April 2, 1993, in Louisville, Ky., she married Richard D. "Rick" Findley, who preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2009.
Bonnie was a 1968 graduate of Seymour High School and then furthered her education by attending and graduating from Indiana University in 1970 from the Division of General and Technical Studies. She was an X-ray technician for Schneck Medical Center and, after 18 years of service with Columbus Regional Hospital as a radiation therapist in the Cancer Center, she retired. Bonnie attended Seymour Harvest Church and was very involved with the deaconess and with mission outreach. She loved her church, clogging, taking photos of nature and taking care of others. Bonnie also volunteered for Reins to Recovery. She was always known for her very giving heart.
Survivors include her mother; children, Sean Hanna and Barbara (Tommy) Phelps; stepson, Matt (Misti) Findley; grandchildren, Jacob Stark, Aleia, Mattie and Mollie Findley; brother, Robert "Bud" (Debbie) Shippee; sisters, Connie Roney and Shirley (Perry) Knecht; mother-in-law, Rachel Findley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; father; and father-in-law, Kenneth Findley.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, with the Rev. Larry Robbins officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with a Voss dove release.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
