Charlotte J. Miller, 78, of Bedford, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at her residence.

Born Aug. 3, 1935, in Brownstown, she was the daughter of George and Lavada Hughes. She married Clarence Jones, who preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1995. She married Wayne Miller on Nov. 19, 1978. He preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 2009.
Charlotte was a member of Life Tabernacle, Springville, since 1978. She was a waitress at Plaza Truck Stop for many years and farmed with her husband, Wayne. She enjoyed traveling, canning, farming, gardening and, most of all, spending time with her family and her church family.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth (Sue) Jones of Bedford; three daughters, Mona (David) Gates and Becky (Ricky) Jones, both of Bedford, and Teresa Maschino of Seymour; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, Gracelyn and baby-to-be, Parker; three brothers, Samuel, Robert and Ollie Hughes; and one sister, Jenny Flinn; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, two brothers and one grandson, Kevin Nowland.
A going home service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Life Tabernacle in Springville, with Pastor Douglas Kelly officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Leesville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home and from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Life Tabernacle.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Life Tabernacle Youth Fund.
