David Lee Hanner, 56 of Seymour passed away with his family by his side at home.
He had been failing health for eight years.
David was born in Indianapolis on March 23, 1956, the son of the late
Kenneth Hanner and Kathleen Bedel Hanner Cox. She survives. He retired as a radioman from the U.S. Navy after 23 years of service.
He leaves behind a loving and caring wife, Terrie McFarlin Hanner; children, Tracy, April, Amy and David Lee Hanner Jr., Erin Yvonne Riddle and Steven A. McCormick; six grandchildren; a brother Earl Hanner; a sister, Helen Baker; and his mother.
Memorials may be given to American Cancer Association.
There will be a memorial service held at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison at 10:30 a.m. Monday with full military graveside honors conducted.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss Funeral Service and Tri-County Crematory, Seymour.
