David Wayne Shirley, 54, Austin, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Shirley was a self-employed mechanic and a truck driver. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, drag racing his Nova and playing bass guitar in his band.
Born June 18, 1958, in Seymour he was the son of Jean (Spurgeon) and the late Chester Donald Shirley.
Survivors include his daughter, Nikki Jo Shirley; mother; grandson, Brantley Douglas Fink; brothers, Mark Anthony (Crystal) Shirley and Don Shirley; sister, Barbara Overshiner; and several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, with the Rev. Kevin Lewis officiating. Burial will take place at Reddington Cemetery with a Voss dove release.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
