Edward A. Blevins, 57, Columbus, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Columbus Regional Hospital emergency room.

Born Oct. 28, 1956, in Joliet, Ill., he was the son of Jack L. and Diane C. Meranda Blevins. Edward married Kim A. Klemz on June 24, 1995, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Edward was employed at Rose Acre Farms as a purchasing consultant; he always said work was his hobby. He enjoyed scrap metal, antiques and the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his children.
Edward is survived by his wife, Kim A. Blevins; daughters, Miranda Nicole Blevins and Kaitlyn Rose Blevins; father, Jack L. Blevins, Hayden; sisters, Mary Rose (Jeff) Meece of Commiskey and Barbara J. (Ken) Harris of Butlerville; brothers,
Joe A. Blevins and James R. (Brandy) Blevins, both of Hayden; brother-in-law, Kevan P. Klemz, Delano, Minn.; father- and mother-in-law, Harlen H. and Caroline A. Klemz of Columbus; and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane C. Blevins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver and Glick Funeral Home, Washington Street, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Regional Hospital Kidney Dialysis Department or the St. Peter's Lutheran Church School.
