Georgie Cherry, 91, of Seymour, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour.

Georgie was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was retired from Stoner's Fashion Shop and was a member of the Boys Club Women's Council, Delta Theta Tau sorority and All Thumbs Garden Club.
Born July 9, 1921, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of George and Clara (Fisher) Enyert. On Dec. 21, 1946, in Indianapolis, she married Harry Cherry, who survives.
Other survivors include her children, Steve Cherry and Mindy (Steve) Stanfield; grandchildren, Kyle (Amy) Stanfield and Kelly Stanfield; and great-grandchildren, Izzy and Callen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Phyllis McKenna.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, with the Rev. John Erickson officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Boys & Girls Club of Seymour.
