Irvin Haskell Lawton, 88, Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013.
He was born in Barlow, Ohio, on Feb. 16, 1925, on his family's farm. On Oct. 4, 1952, he married Mary Ann Stollar, who survives.
Irvin worked for 32 years at H.O. Canfield/Pantasote in Seymour, where he and Mary Ann raised their children before retiring to the family farm. He enjoyed the company of his family, especially when they all gathered at the farm for July 4th celebrations and Thanksgiving. He also liked woodworking, golf, croquet, genealogy, attending church, gardening and tending to his apple trees.
Other survivors include: his siblings, Edward, Isabel Brown and Shirley Ormiston; daughter, Joyce (Jay Nagao); son, James (Charlotte) and their children, Jeffrey, Abby and Kaci Durham; son, Joseph (Elaine) and their children, Lindsey Phelps (Dave), Emily, Lauren Raizk, Michael Raizk and Christopher Raizk; and daughter, Jennifer (Tom) and their children, Karen, Patrick, Mary and Grace.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lou West.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. June 8, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church in Marietta, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 121, Barlow, Ohio, 45712.
