Janet Romaine Scott Davers, 71, North Vernon, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Our Hospice of Southern Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

She was born Aug. 14, 1942, in Johnson County, the daughter of Wallace C. and Lula (Slevins) Scott.
She was married 25 years to Steve C. Davers. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Mark A. (Debbie) Good, Terre Haute, James D. Davers, Jonesville, and Damon D. Davers, North Vernon; two daughters, Deborah K. (Marino Caraballo, Indianapolis, and Lynetta K. (Michael) Porter, North Vernon; a sister, L. Sue (Carlos) Rook, Largo, Fla.; sister-in-law, Charlotte J. (Leon) Ross, Seymour; grandchildren, Cody O. Goodin, Nathan T. Goodin, Nichole M. Goodin, Michael S. Porter, James O. Porter, Autumn D. Booth, Kacy D. Supple, Riley E. Canner, Anthony M. Caraballo, Amanda D. Caraballo, Noah J. Davers, Camron L. Davers, Damon D. Davers II, Jordan E. Davers and Steven C. Davers III; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Shirley G. Leonard and her husband, Ernie; a grandson, W. Levi Miller; and three brothers-in-law, Robert A., Jack W. and Jimmy D. Davers.
She was a 1960 graduate of Edinburgh High School. She was of the Baptist faith.
She retired in 2002 from Rockwell Automation, Reeves Plant, Columbus, after 35 years of service.
Her husband, children and grandchildren were her life and were loved by her. She enjoyed working in her yard and flowers and enjoyed birds.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
