Kathleen D. Beck, 93, Freetown, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.

Born Jan. 30, 1920, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Lester and Edna (Forgey) Denny.
On June 12, 1943, in Spencer, she married William H. Beck, who preceded her in death May 11, 1979.
Kathleen was a member of Freetown United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide. She was a graduate of Freetown High School and was retired from the shirt factory after 25 years of service.
Kathleen was a 50-year member of Brownstown Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was always volunteering to help others in her church and in the community.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Frank) Ault; granddaughter, Kelly (Larry) Peters; grandson-in-law, Robbie Stone; sisters, Mary Alice (George) Matthews and Grace Howe; great-grandchildren, Blake (Megan) Peters, Evan Peters and Emma Stone; great-great-grandson, Keaton Peters; a great-great-grandchild to arrive this fall; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Tammi L. Stone; sister, Jean Meyer; and two infant brothers.
Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Dave Ison officiating. Burial will take place at Freetown Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday. There will be an Eastern Star service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
