Mildred H. Tuttle, 102, Franklin, Tenn., passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Williamson County Medical Center.

Mildred graduated in 1927 from Shields High School. She was raised in the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir as well as other church activities. She worked at the local telephone company and upon graduation from Indiana University taught school in Seymour.
Mildred lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, most of her life and was a member of North College Hill United Methodist Church. She attended and taught at the University of Cincinnati and taught at North College Hill High School, where she retired. She was a member of Phi Mu and Delta Phi Epsilon. After moving to Tennessee, she was a Friends Learning in Pairs (FLIP) volunteer and she volunteered at Brentwood United Methodist Church, where she held her membership at her passing. She participated in greeting and folding bulletins. An avid baseball fan and once Rosie Red member, she thoroughly enjoyed Cincinnati Reds baseball games. She also enjoyed reading and traveling or other activities with family and many friends over the years.
Born Oct. 3, 1910, in Seymour, she was a daughter of Charles Hunterman and Lilla (Hauenschild). On June 13, 1941, she married Stanley J. Tuttle, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Venable), son-in-law, Robert; brother, Charles Hunterman; nephews, Charles, Brian and Alan; nieces, Susan, Elaine, Paula and Bonnie; grandchildren, Christopher and Katheryn Nowak and Holly Sims, Carrie Kelley and Ryan Venable; grandnephews, Mark, David, Dennis, Ben, Jon and Scott; grandnieces, Beth, Sarah and Emily; and great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Chase, Charlotte and Madelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lois Roberts; and a niece, Carla Sparano.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Home, Seymour, with the Rev. Eugene Gladney officiating. Burial will follow service at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Tennessee at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
