Peggy Prather, 67, passed into eternal life with her family by her side Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born Sept. 4, 1945, in Hazard, Ky., she was the daughter of Eva Gean (Gay) Wilson.
Peggy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. She was a nurse's aide for more than eight years.
Peggy was a loving mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very active lady as she was the past president of the Republican Women's Club, Cub Scout Leader, Singles Club (80s) and JayShees Club.
She also enjoyed listening to several types of music, rock and roll, Grand Ole Opry, blue grass and country. She also loved to cook and watch the Food Network channel.
She is survived by her children, George M. Prather Jr., the Rev. Richard J. (Amber) Prather, Margaret Ann Prather Boston and Kenneth S. Prather (Debbie Mousa); sister, Ann Berniece (Wilbur Lee) Hoevener; grandchildren, Brock P. Boston, Brook L. Boston, Rachel B. Boston (Luke) Eddins, Adrian R. Scott and Olivia A. Colwell; stepgrandson, Michael A. LaPine; great-granddaughters, Isabella Ashlee Boston and Reese Ava Eddins; great-grandson Caeden Alexander Boston; niece, Wendy Lee Shaw; and great-niece, Sakhari Annalisa Shaw.
She was preceded in death by her mother; stepfather, John Wilson; niece, Lisa Ann Hoevener; and former husband, George Prather.
Funeral service will be conducted at Voss Chapel at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. James Rodriguez and the Rev. Philip Bloch officiating. Friends may call at Voss Chapel from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.
Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to the Salvation Army.
