Ruth A. Gregory, 91, Indianapolis, passed away April 13, 2013.
Ruth was employed for more than 40 years by Eli Lilly, retiring in 1987 as a manufacturing supervisor. She was a member of Southport Baptist Church, where she cared for children in the nursery and received a Mother Hen award for her dedication to children. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Southport Chapter 442.
Born Aug. 26, 1921, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Ora and Pearl Russell Gregory, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister, Maxine Vicars; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Shirley, Paul, Simeon, Bill and John Gregory; and sister, Reta Allen. Ruth was a loving aunt who always cherished her time with family.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be given to Southport Baptist Church.
