Jimmie Bryant, 66, of Austin, passed away at the home he shared with his soulmate, Kathy Bryant, on Monday, April 7, 2014.

For most of his life, he had worked in road construction and as a mechanic. He enjoyed "junkin'" and working on cars. He also liked to collect antiques and coins.
Born Sept. 28, 1947, in Tompkinsville, Ky., he was a son of the late Otha and Sarah (Hagan) Bryant.
Survivors also include children, Otha Bryant, Dustin Bryant, Jimmy Wayne Bryant, Robert Bryant, LaTresa Marie Hupp and Gloria Lou Stanley; one brother, Bobby (Cindy) Bryant; one sister, Alice Stephens; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruth Joyce Bryant; and four brothers, Jerry "Bear" Bryant, Thomas Bryant, Joe Bryant and Johnny Bryant.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Freetown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
