Wilma Lorraine (Denny) McKinney, 94, of Freetown, died at 2:10 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.

She was a member of Spraytown Free Methodist Church. Born July 30, 1919, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Robert Roy Denny and Carrie (Mitchell) Denny. On Nov. 18, 1944, in Madison, she married Emil Morris McKinney, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1992.
Survivors include children, Nyra (Chris) Peters of Vallonia, Monte (Jan) McKinney of Montgomery, Ala., and Morris (Sheryl) McKinney of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Curt (Sarah) Peters of Vallonia, Emily (Chad) Sommers of Brownstown, Carrie (Paul) Mussman of Greenville, S.C., Kaleb (Lindsey) McKinney of Freetown, and Kegan (Erin) McKinney of Boca Raton, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Selena and Dacy Peters, Max and Lela Sommers, Gus Mussman and Norah McKinney.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Rotert and Alice Garloch; and by two brothers, Robert Denny and Orval Denny.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown from 4 until 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Steve Gommel officiating. Burial will follow at Freetown Cemetery.
