Arthur W. "Art" Morgan Jr., 88, and Mary Jane Edwards Morgan, 86, both of Indianapolis, passed away just three days apart. Art died on Monday, April 21, 2014, and Jane died on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

They were married in Greensburg, Kentucky, in 1952 and made their home in Indianapolis.
Art was born June 29, 1925, in Jackson County and served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from Hanover College, earning his master's degree. He played football, served as class president as well as president of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He also was a member of the Principals Association and various civic clubs.
Jane was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Greensburg, Kentucky, and moved to Indianapolis when she was 22.
They were both involved in public education, Art being a teacher, basketball coach and principal, and Jane teaching high school English. They both retired from Franklin Central High School in 1979, where she taught English and Art and was the principal.
They had also been involved in real estate for more than 30 years.
They enjoyed traveling, reading and working with church groups. They were a very kind and loving couple who will be missed by many.
Funeral services were conducted in Indianapolis. The couple was laid to rest next to each other at Washington Park East Cemetery.
