George E. Easley, 82, of Seymour, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

Born Dec. 30, 1931, in Fulton, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Herman Jones Easley and Mildred (Browder) Easley. On
Sept. 5, 1959, he was united in marriage to N. Jill (Ferguson) Easley, who survives.
George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Seymour, a former member of Sertoma, an officer of Jaycees and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was a graduate of Murray State College in 1959.
Survivors include his wife, Jill; a daughter, Alicia K. (Harry D.) Knight; a son, Clay E. Easley; grandchildren, Jillian Knight, Lucas Knight, Tyler E. Easley and Jacob Easley; and sisters, Sue Byars and Shirley Hawks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant children and a sister, Betty Ann Brown.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
