Dale Richard Durham, 79, Seymour, passed away at 4:28 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.

Dale retired from Cummins Inc., where he had worked for 33 years. He was a member of East Columbus Christian Church, Columbus Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge. He enjoyed air boating, fishing and NASCAR.
Born in Columbus on Nov. 23, 1933, he was the son of Ellis and Ruth Day Durham. He married Marcia J. Taylor on Sept. 27, 1979.
Survivors include his wife; son, Brett Durham, North Vernon; stepdaughter, Nikki Weddell, Seymour; brother, Bobby (Sheila) Durham, Texas; sisters, Norma "Rosie" Allman, Columbus, Rae Marie "Sweet" (Bob) Beesley, Texas, Janet "Tootie" (Walt) Pardieck, Columbus, and Mary Jane "Punky" (Ron) Hooker, Columbus; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street in Columbus with Pastor Michael T. Hogg officiating. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bartholomew County Humane Society.
