Clifton "Jim" Aynes, 85, a resident of Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown and a past resident of Crothersville, passed away at 7:16 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013.

Born June 10, 1928, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Clifton and Minnie (Hovis) Aynes.
Jim was a former employee of Arvin Inc. and retired from Seymour Manufacturing Co. He attended Clearspring School. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged Nov. 30, 1956. He also enjoyed coin collecting, was an avid Indiana University fan and was a member of American Legion Post 112 Camp Jackson in Brownstown. Jim had a big heart and enjoyed giving to others.
On Sept. 3, 1994, he married Bonnie (Densford) Aynes, who survives in Crothersville.
Jim is survived by his stepchildren and step-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Silence of Brownstown and Maryann Toppe of West Covina, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Helen Aynes; a sister, Virginia Stidham; and two brothers, Floyd Aynes and Perry Aynes.
Pastor Paul Huddleston will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
