Nikki Johnson Booker

Nikki Johnson Booker CLEVELAND Mrs. Nikki Johnson Booker, 34, resident of Charlotte, N.C., departed this life on Dec. 2, 2012, at the Cleveland Medical Clinic in Cleveland. She was born in Chicago on July 6, 1978, and raised in Bristol, Va. Nikki attended Virginia High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from East Tennessee State University. This degree inspired each of us who knew her, along with her countless words of wisdom and comfort. She married her high school sweetheart, Moishe' Booker. To this union, four beautiful children were born. Nikki was a devoted wife and stay at home mother who spent countless hours volunteering at her children's schools. She spent her free time developing her culinary and artistic talents and sharing them with her family and all that were interested. Nikki accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age here at Lee Street Baptist Church under the guidance of Dr. W.A. Johnson and continued her walk with the Lord at Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church in Charlotte under the guidance of Dr. Dewayne Anthony Walker. Nikki was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Johnson of Chicago; her paternal grandparents, Elmer and Louise Anderson; her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Helen Foster; grandfather-in-law, Jim Booker; and brother in law, Carl McKenley. Her survivors include her devoted husband, Moishe' Booker; daughters, Ilana Gaye, 16, Patience Iliah, 12, and LaDonna Zamora, 8, and son, Elijah Emir, 8, all of Charlotte; mother and stepfather, Kathy and Roy Bunche, both of Bristol, Va.; grandmother-in-law, Louise Booker of Bristol, Tenn.; sisters, Stephanie McKenley of Johnson City, Tenn., and Samantha Johnson of Charlotte; brothers, Stephen Johnson of Charlotte and Nikolaus Johnson of Nashville, Tenn.; best friend-sister, her "MyTisha"Latisha Sensabaugh of Fredericksburg, Va.; best friend-brother, Chris Robinson of Fredericksburg; aunts, Edith Guillory of Michigan, Melinda (Stevens) Foster of Bristol, Va., and Beatrice (Brooks) Foster of Ashville, N.C.; uncles, John Foster of Bristol, Va., Tyrone (Becky) Foster of Bristol, Va.; nieces, Kayla, Kenasia, Meanna, Nikiah, Zamayah and Trinity; and nephews, Trevor, Solomon, Xavier, Zion and Izayah; and a host of cousins and other relatives and close friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Nikki Johnson Booker will be conducted at Lee Street Baptist Church at 12 noon on Saturday, Dec. 8,2012, with Dr. W.A. Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 until the hour of service. The interment will follow the service at Tri-City Memory Garden in Bluff City, Tenn.
