Charles Bryant Hoffman TROUTDALE, Va. Charles Bryant Hoffman, 83, of the Grant community, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, in Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, Va. He was born March 3, 1927, at Grant, Va., to Bays and Nell Mellon Hoffman. Surviving are his wife, Mary Price Hoffman of the home; son and wife, David and Peggy Hoffman of Grant; daughter, Lynnell Jones of Midlothian, Va.; one brother, Maurice Hoffman of Grant; four grandchildren, Kevin Hoffman, Craig Hoffman, Marcus Bryant Jones and Kristen Jones; and three great-grandchildren, Katrina Hoffman, Noah Hoffman and Adriana Hoffman. The body is at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, in Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, Independence. Interment in Grant Cemetery, Grant. The Rev. Ken Blevins will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour preceding the funeral service. The family sincerely requests no flowers, but suggests memorial contributions be made to Grant Cemetery, in care of David Hoffman, 31 Rockbridge Rd., Troutdale, VA 24378 Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, is serving the Hoffman family.
