Just learned of Uncle Bob's homegoing at the end of school today. Without a doubt, he was one of the greatest and gentlest men I have ever known. I treasure all of the time I spent with him growing up. He certainly made an impact on my life. You are all in my prayers.

Dear Darryl,Bobbi Jean and dear family
There are no words to express the sorrow I feel for the loss of a mighty soldier of God, who has made his passage home. I loved his like a father, he was such an inspiration in my life as he was to so many others. He was my Sunday school teacher and youth leader and friend all my life.He planted the word of God in my life not only by teaching but by example of how a true Christian should live. I know my faith is stronger today because of Papaw. May you find strength and comfort by leaning on the arms of Jesus and the love of family and friends. I love you and will be praying for you.
