I will miss Uncle Trump more than words can ever express. After my Grandparents passed away(my granddad and Uncle Trump were brothers) I still visited him often. He was alway full of awesome stories of back when. I loved sitting on the porch talking with him and listening to his stories. And there was always someone stopping by for a visit:)
Love you Uncle Trump.

I've been fortunate to know Gaines all of my life. Several times in recent years when I would see him he would always tell me he was ready to go to his heavenly home. He didn't understand why he had to wait so long. I told him God knew we needed him here to help guide us. My thoughts and prayers are with you. We have all lost a great treasure. I will really miss him.

Doug, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad passing. I remember when we were growing up in the little log house at the beginning of the flats that your family had the first TV set and all of us kids came to your house and watched western movies. Your Mom and Dad was so good to us and I will never forget them. I always visited Sulpher Springs Methodist Church when I came home as an adult and I always looked forward to seeing Trump. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Doug and Linda,
So sorry! Will always remember our growing-up years and Granddaddy taking us to visit your family. Gaines was special to us as well as all of Uncle Joe's family. Mother (Nell Purcell Calfee) and I were able to visit Gaines in a Lebanon nursing home sometime before she became sick. Mom so much wanted to go to Gaines 90th birthday party, but she could not travel because her breathing was so poor. We looked forward to the Purcell Reunion to see Gaines, but had not been since Mom's stroke which was in 2007. Jean Purcell Campbell has been very good about keeping us informed about Gaines. Will remember all of you! God Bless!

Gaines was a favorite cousin of mine and I was always sorry to live so far away from him in California. I enjoyed seeing him at the Purcell family reunions when I was able to be there. He always had a kind word for everyone. I always tried to phone him on his birthday, which I did on his 90th. I am sending my love to the family and wish I could be there for his service. I am missing him as he is in my thoughts today. I mailed him a letter a couple of days ago, with pictures, which he may have received the day he died. I am feeling sad today.
I wish my husband Bob could have met him. They would have liked one another.

Uncle Trump and I had a bond that has lasted for 67 years. My family went to visit him over Memorial day. Like to share a story of that visit. Trump looked up at me at smiled and said I dreamed last night that I was singing as loud as I could "when the role is called up yonder I'll be there" He smiled and said you know us Purcell can't sing but I was as loud as I could. Uncle Trump is There.

Trump was a long time friend and a member of the church that my family attended for many years. I thank him for many kind words of advice throughout the years. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
