Kyle R. Gobble LEBANON, Va. Kyle R. Gobble, 72, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, in the Russell County Medical Center. Kyle was born Aug. 21, 1939, in Russell County, a son of the late Jasper Gobble and the late Ethel Fields Gobble. He was a retired employee of Canada Coal Company in Kimper, Ky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Porter and James Gobble; and one niece, Virginia Whitby. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nancy Shoemaker Gobble; the daughters, Jeanne Young and husband Joe, Pamela Boardwine, and Vicky Gobble and companion James Puckett, all of Lebanon; one son, Kyle R. Gobble Jr., and wife Angela Bordwine Gobble, Abingdon; six grandchildren, Jamie Light, Timothy Gobble, Chris Young, Nathan Gobble, Sam Ray and Josh Puckett; three great-grandchildren, Emily Gobble, Nataleigh Widner, and Mary Jean Gobble; one sister, Mary Phillips and husband Mike, Stanleytown, Va.; nine brothers, George Gobble and wife Judy, Lebanon, Walter Gobble and wife Sharon, Lebanon, Howard (Wink) Gobble, Lebanon, Giles (Hokie) Gobble and wife Donna, Fincastle, Va., David Lynn Gobble and wife Frances, Lebanon, Larry Gobble and wife Sandy, Memphis, Tenn., Hubert Gobble and wife Lucy, Salem, Va., Ed Gobble, Martinsville, Va., and Bob Gobble, Belfry, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012, in the Combs Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. James Sims officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, in Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon. Those attending are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. to in procession to the cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Combs Funeral Service, 291 Fincastle Road, Lebanon, VA 24266, (276) 889-4444 is serving the family of Kyle R. Gobble.
