Ada L. Nelson BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. Ada L. Nelson, age 85, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Wellmont Hospice House. She was a native of Washington County, Va., and had made her home in Blountville for many years. She was the daughter of the late George and Belle Reed Camper and the widow of Hedrick Nelson. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bud Camper, Roy Camper and John Camper. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Stinson and husband, Bobby of Blountville, Tenn.; one son, Wayne Nelson of Blountville, Tenn.; six sisters, Willa Bray of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Edna Vannoy of Abingdon, Va., Ree Moore, Lois Banton, Jean Connors and Joann Norwood, all of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Grant Camper of Ohio; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2010, in First Baptist Church of Blountville with Dr. Clay Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens with Rev. Sidney Payne officiating. Pallbearers will be Alan Nelson, Monty Nelson, Jeff Stinson, Travis Stinson, Mike Stinson and Dalton Stinson. The family will receive friends from 2 4 p.m., Sunday at Akard Funeral Home. Email condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected] Akard Funeral Home, 1912 W. We are very sad for your loss but Miss Ada is finally home. You are in our hearts and prayers at this time and always. Jesus gave us a comforter because he knew that we are human and we have to greeve, He will also give the peace that is needed. God bless you all.
