AlBurnice "A.B." Call Evans MARION, Va. AlBurnice "A.B." Call Evans, age 86, passed away on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at her son's home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Rich Valley, Va., to the late John and Jennie Call. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marvin "Cart" Evans; infant child, Danny Darrell Evans; and a granddaughter, Lisa Evans. She had retired from Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute after many years of service as a nurse's aide. Survivors include her children, Ruth Tilley, Mountain City, Tenn., Carson and Freda Evans, Tazewell, Va., Harold Evans, Maryland, Wayne and Vanessa Evans, Marion, Dartty and Kathy Evans, Marion, Dallas and Rachel Evans, Marion, Janie and Dale Goble, Marion, Richard and Roxane Evans, Marion, Helen and Don Taylor, Chilhowie, Va., and David Evans, Marion; 27 grandchildren, to include a special granddaughter, Sheri Shelton; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Roxane Evans, and Hospice of Southwest Virginia for the care given to Mrs. Evans. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Walker's Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
