Allen Lee Booher BRISTOL, Tenn. Allen Lee Booher, age 58, passed away Nov. 13, 2009, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1951, in Bristol Tennessee. He retired as lieutenant for the Bristol Tennessee Police Department, serving the city for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil G. Booher; and his grandson, Christopher Michael Lee. Survivors include his wife, Carol Jones Booher; daughters, Penny Booher Thurmond and husband Dennis, and Lori Booher-Stophel; mother, Mildred B. Booher; brother, Wayne C. Booher and wife Daphne; grandchildren, Jayson Matthew-Lee Stophel, MaRanda Grace Stophel; expectant granddaughter, Ella Elizabeth Thurmond; and nephew, Michael W. Booher and wife Kim, and their son, Logan. A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Wayne Emery, Jim Graham and Blaine Wade officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be many special friends and members of Bristol Tennessee Police Department, Jayson Matthew-Lee Stophel, MaRanda Grace Stophel and Mike Yaneiro. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net. Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Carol, Linda and I are very sorry to hear of Allen's passing, I know the last time we spoke with you he was not doing well, but it has to be a shock for you and your children, as well as the rest of the family. May God bless and keep each of you during this difficult time, and in the coming days.
Even though it has been many years since Allen and I worked together I alway though of Allen as being one of my close friends, I never saw him that he didn't have time to talk about old times and some of the fun we had.

It was with a great sense of loss when I heard of Allen’s death. As a former Bristol Police Officer, I had the opportunity to work with Allen for thirteen years. I wanted to let you know that you have my greatest sympathy, and my heart is truly saddened. I know that his passing will not only leave a void in your lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him.

Allen will always remain within my thoughts, and I have included Allen and his family in my daily prayers. May God give you strength during this difficult time. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.
