Arbutus B. Davis CLINTWOOD, Va. Arbutus B. Davis, age 83, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009. Mrs. Davis is the daughter of the late Verlin and Lessie Bryant. She was born in Dickenson County and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Davis; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verlin Bryant; one son, Clifford Davis Jr.; and two sisters. She is survived by one son, Greg Davis; and a special daughter-in-law, Tracy Davis of Abingdon, Va. Other survivors include, one sister, Myrle Fleming of Clintwood; three granddaughters, Sarah Marie Davis, Selena Collins, and Katrina Davis; one grandson, Wesley Davis; step-grandsons, Tyler and Justin Cole; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted, Thursday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Frank Hall and Manie Strouth officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Temple Hill Chapel of Love Friday, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m. for the committal service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
