Beatrice Kimberlin Hagy ABINGDON, Va. Beatrice Kimberlin Hagy, age 78, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012, while traveling on a Canadian Tour. She was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Washington County, a daughter of the late Dwight Scott and Lena Lambert Kimberlin. She was retired from Robert C. Boswell Insurance Agency after 49 years. She loved to travel and was a member of the Historical Society of Washington County, Va. She was a member of Carvosso United Methodist Church where she served as the financial secretary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Hale Hagy in 2003. Surviving are three sisters, Bernice Keesling and husband, James of Kingsport, Tenn., Evelyn K. Hagy and husband, Harold of Abingdon and Eveleen K. Fraley and husband, James of Abingdon; four brothers, Sherlock Kimberlin and wife, Sue of Bristol, Va., Don Kimberlin and wife, Leigh of Abingdon, Wayne Kimberlin and wife, Cheryl of Damascus, Va. and David Kimberlin and wife, Myra of Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Carvosso United Methodist Church with the Rev. Leonard Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service. Pallbearers will be Richard Duncan, Brandon Kimberlin, Tommy Lilly, Steven Kimberlin, Charles Miller and Dewayne Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Carvosso United Methodist Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to Carvosso United Methodist Church, 19429 Rustic Lane, Abingdon, VA, 24210.
