Beryle Rutherford Beryle Rutherford, 89, joined her husband, Virgil, on September 7, 2010, in a place she described as, "more beautiful than any land she could imagine." The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 in the Glenwood Cemetery Mausoleum, with Dr. Bill Houck officiating. Pallbearers will be Gus Simerly, Homer Anderson, Leo Rutherford, Tommy Anderson, Andy Cass, John Cass, David Simerly and Dana Anderson. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the Beryle and Virgil Rutherford Memorial Fund, c/o Northstar Baptist Church 2455 King Mill Pike, Bristol, VA 24201, for a medical missions fund or building program in memory of Virgil and Beryle Rutherford.
