Betty Boyd Stiltner BELFAST, Va. Betty Boyd Stiltner, 75, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 1, 1934, in Buchanan County a daughter of the late Glen and Euna Deel Boyd, she was the wife of her first husband, James M. Foster; and her second husband, Carson Stiltner. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening and fishing. She enjoyed listening to music by Lonesome Will Mullins. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Greg Stiltner; and two other sons, Johnny and James H. Foster; a granddaughter, Jodi Foster; a sister, Iva Lee Terry; and an infant brother, Estis Harold Boyd. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Powers and husband David, Honaker, Cathy White and husband Archie, Whitewood, and Becky Osborne and husband James, Lebanon; two sons, Danny Foster and Mark Foster, both of Belfast; 11 grandchildren, Scott Perkins, Anthony Perkins, Nathaniel White, Greg Foster, Matt Foster, Cody Foster, Kim Foster, Brandon Foster, Megan Powers, Jaime Osborne, and Wil Osborne; three great- grandchildren, Alyssa Perkins, Ciera Skeens, and Lillie Foster; five sisters, Carrol Nuckols and husband Stewart, Oceanside, Calif., Edgar Childress and husband Roger, Grundy, Bernice Baker and husband Charlie, Anchorage, Ark., Vickie Cooley and husband Pete, Ocala, Fla., and Vanessa Ratliff and husband Gary, Grundy; eight brothers, Leon Boyd and fiancee' Pam Estep, Grundy, Wayne Boyd and wife Joyce, Grundy, Richard Boyd and wife Betty, Oakwood, Elmer Boyd and wife Doreen, Fairbanks, Alaska, Roger Boyd and wife Cheri, Satsuma, Fla., Darrell Boyd and wife Judy, Grundy, Phillip Boyd and wife Teresa, Salem and Jeffery Boyd, Elliston; special friends, Bo and Peggy Ratliff; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Guy Harris and the Rev. Troy Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at the funeral home.
