Billie Davis SWORDS CREEK, Va. Mrs. Billie Davis, age 95, passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, in a Richlands, Va., hospital. Born January 18, 1915, in Damascus, Va., she was a daughter of the late Jessee Milburn and Tildie Davenport Price. She had resided in Swords Creek since 1937 and was a member of Swords Creek Community Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Claude Davis, and several brothers and sisters. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include one son, Ralph L. (Mike) Davis and Sheree of Swords Creek; two granddaughters, Heather Jackson of Rosedale and Sonya Acevedo of Guymon, Okla.; great-grandchildren, Sydney Jackson, Erynn Jackson, Noah Jackson and Taylor Jackson; step-great-grandchildren, Kambrian Acevedo, Kaeden Acevedo, Kyven Acevedo, Tianna Acevedo and Trey Acevedo also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Va., with Bro. Les Ritchie officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be Randy Hughes, David Dye, Sam Johnson, Berk Artrip and Dave Perkins. Honorary pallbearer will be Delmer Grizzle. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Sunday. Online condolences may be made at www.honakerfuneralhome.net

Mike,
Was really sorry to here about Billie's passing. I can't ever remember life without her in it. She was a great person and a wonderful friend to my mother. May God Bless and comfort you during this time.
