Carl Joseph Sheffey BRISTOL, Tenn. Carl Joseph Sheffey, age 92, passed away on Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, in Spring City, Tenn. He was born Feb. 26, 1918, to the late Robert Sheffey and Lura Black Sheffey, and had spent his life in the Bristol area. He was retired from Levi Strauss Co. and a lead machinist. Mr. Sheffey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bluff City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Tina Rust Sheffey; his second wife, Ann Shuttle Sheffey; three children, Larry Carl Sheffey, Linda Carol Sheffey, William Joseph Sheffey; two sisters, Ruth Bixley, Zelma Burroughs; and one brother, Dave Sheffey. Survivors: daughter, Glenna Sheffey Reed; granddaughter, Lisa Reed Huettner and companion Mary Deutcher; great-grandchildren, Michael Huettner, Jonothan Huettner, Katrina Deutcher; sister, Bonnie Rampazzio; brothers, Ralph McCracken, Fred McCracken; special caretaker, Johnny Roberts; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at Shelby Hills Cemetery with Pastor Mike Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Hills. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Weaver Funeral Home.
