Carl Linkous

Carl Donald Linkous WYTHEVILLE, Va. Carl Donald "Duck" Linkous, age 61, passed away Friday, July 1, 2010. He was an employee for the Town of Wytheville for 19 years, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Eleanor Proco Linkous. He was a member of the Ashway Pentecostal Holiness Church, Greeneville, Tenn., and also attended the Rural Retreat Pentacostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Phyllis Smelser Linkous. He is survived by his wife, Vicky Crouse Linkous of Wytheville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and James Bartee of Myrtle Beach, Brenda and John Saunders of Fredericksburg, Va., and Judy and Pastor Dean Brewster of Greeneville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Sandy Linkous of Abingdon and Richard and Norma 'Hoppy" Linkous of Wytheville; special friends, Doug Wilson, Jim Cassidy, Daniel Laney and Tommy Johnson; several nieces and nephews also survive; and his pets, Blackie, Red Dog and Muff. Memorial service was held Monday, July 5, at 2 p.m. in the Rural Retreat Pentacostal Holiness Church conducted by Pastor Dean Brewster and Pastor Roger Crigger. Family received friends at the Rural Retreat Pentecostal Holiness Church Monday from noon until service time.
