Charles William "Bill" Felty ABINGDON, Va. Charles William "Bill" Felty, age 68, a resident of Black Hollow Road, and longtime fisherman passed away Tuesday night, Jan. 12, 2010, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born in Washington County, Va., he lived most of his life in the area and was a former resident of Russell County, Va. Mr. Felty was a former employee of both Pittston Coal where he worked at Moss 3 Prep Plant and Clinchfield Coal Company for 30 years. He was a locally well-known fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his many friends. He was a member of the Washington County Bass Club. He was a member of the Abingdon Bible Church and attended the Senior Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lewis Felty and Hettie Perkins Felty; and one sister, Marie Pickle. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Felty of the home; three sons, Randy Felty and wife, Debbie, Brian Felty and wife, Donna and Derek Felty and wife, Stephanie; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Hannah, Briana, Preston, Emily, Keeleigh, Luke and Danica; one great- granddaughter, McKenzie; four sisters and one brother. The funeral service for Charles W. "Bill" Felty will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Bufford and Brother James Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Butch Neal, James Wyatt, Dee Widener, Jerry Farley, Jim Bishop, Bud Norris, Ken Miller and Bob Spears. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the Frost Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Abingdon Bible Church, P.O.
