Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Cook, Larry Hughes, Larry Stacy, Rick Osborne, Tim Alley and Allen Rasnake.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. before the funeral service.
Donations may be made to the Russell County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1208, Lebanon, VA 24266.
Danny Darrell McGlothlin, 56, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009.
Owens Funeral Service and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

We have known you and Danny for 20+years .You both have been our best friends. We always enjoyed spending time with you all.We went out to eat many times ,we always joked and said we needed a new hobby.We will miss our friend he will always be in our heart.We are here Laura if you need us. Since I met you and Danny 10 years ago you have both brought many smiles and wonderful memories to my life. He was a wonderful husband and friend to us and our children, Caleb and Dakotah.
I have never met someone so full of energy and who didn't take life for granted. He made our children's eyes light up every time he entered the room and even the mention of his name brought smiles to their faces.
The world would be a much better place if everyone were like Danny kind, sharing, thoughtful and a true friend to those in his life.
We love you and hope that you will not hesitate to call on us for anything you may need, whether it be just someone to talk to or someone just to be there for you through this difficult time.
