Darling Sue Sykes Turner Lockhart BRISTOL, Tenn. Darling Sue Sykes Turner Lockhart, age 73, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at Wellmont Hospice House. She was born Dec. 3, 1936, to the late Clarence Samuel Sykes and Lona Belle Jackson Sykes. She was formerly of Russell County, Va., but had lived in Bristol for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jay Lockhart; her former husband Dewey "Tater" Turner; and a son Steve Turner. Survivors: daughter, Tonya Barker and husband Chuck; son, Randy Turner; grandchildren, Josh and Brandon Barker, Megan Cullop, Amber Kadin, Israel and Christopher Turner and Amy Suiter; five great-grandchildren; special daughter, Dreama "Missy" Chapman and husband Don. Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2009, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Statzer and Richard McKinley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will be private.
