Doris J. Jones PINEY FLATS, Tenn. Doris J. Jones, 73, passed away Saturday morning, June 5, 2010, at 2:35 a.m. at Bristol Hospice House. She was born in Logan, W.Va., and had been a resident of the area her entire life. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She retired in 1993 from Parks Belk in Bristol as a maintenence supervisor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon "Sam" Jones, who passed away on Oct. 29, 2000. Also preceded are her parents, Roy Miles Smith and Lennie Harvey Smith; brothers, Dallas Smith, Don Smith, Kelly Smith; and sisters, LaWanda Goss and Jewell Miller also preceed in death. She is survived by two daughers, Debbie Leonard, of Bluff City, Tenn., and Lori Mack and husband, Dave, of South Lake, Texas; sons, Terry Jones and wife, Donna, of Blountville, Tenn., and Mickey Jones and wife, Carla, of Piney Flats, Tenn.; brother, Sammy Smith, of Knoxville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; one great- great-grandchild; several nieces and nephew.; and a special thanks to the nieces who helped with her care, Kim Smith and Wendy Ragan. The family of Doris J. Jones will recieve friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at Tri-Cities Funeral Home, with funeral services being conducted at 8 p.m. in the main chapel with Rev. Bob Ferguson and Rev. Ronnie Abraham officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Family will serve as pallbearers.
