Doris Ann Patrick BROADFORD, Va. Doris Ann Patrick, age 73, passed away at Johnston Memorial Hospital on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Patrick Sr.; her parents, John Henry and Bertha Harris; brothers; Jack Harris and Archie Harris; sisters, Edith Spence and Betty Blevins. She was a member of Roberts Chapel United Methodist Church and was active in the Roberts Chapel UMWA, Saltville Garden Club and Broadford Quilting Group. She retired from Buster Brown in Chilhowie, Va. She is survived by one son, Robert "Bobby" Patrick Jr. and wife Tressa, Saltville, Va.; two daughters , Kathy Jones and husband Donny, Broadford, Linda Tobin and husband Glenn, Bristol Tennessee; grandchildren, Erik Jones and wife Laura, Megan Jones and friend Carlos Brown, Christopher Tobin, Amanda Roe and husband Michael, and Jessica Stewart; great-grandchildren, Will and Aida Brown, Michael and Jacob Roe; sisters, Polly Phipps, Rich Valley, Va., Patsy Matney, Bristol Virginia; special niece, Wanda Morgan, Saltville. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Bailey officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mount Rose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Erik Jones, Carlos Brown, Christopher Tobin, Michael Roe, Jimmy Blevins and W.T. Gillespie. Honorary pallbearers are the men of Roberts Chapel Church. We are so sorry to hear of Doris passing. She was a blessing to her family and this neighborhood. She will be sadly missed. Our hearts and prayers will be with you all. Kathy, Linda and Bobby,
We will miss Doris very much. I have such good memories when Linda and I were so close - she was "another" mom to me during that time. She loved to sing in the choir and we enjoyed having her there - she is an angel.
