Sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I went to see your dad a year ago about printing. I still in the printing business I've had my business in Lebanon going on 14 years. My wifes aunt was telling me about your dad. She was checking on a stone at the grave site Barbara Jesse. I married her niece Colleen Philips Masseys daughter. I'm living in bristol hassen heights area. I also, have a 3 year old little girl. We go to church with Jason Barlow and he was asking me if I knew you. I pray that you and your mom will find comfort during these sad times. May God bless you all.

It was a sad day to hear of Doug's passing. My family is praying for Judy, Byron and Craig. Some of the best memories of my childhood include Doug, Craig and their Irish Setter "Crazyhead" as Doug called him. Doug, Mike, and I rode with Truth Fraley to visit Dave at Bolles School in Florida oh so many years ago and really came to love Doug and Craig. Doug was funny, kind and very smart and like a brother while we were growing up in Cleveland. I am truly sorry that I could not travel up there to say goodbye.

Byron I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I know there is nothing I can say that would ease your pain but know that you are loved and if you ever need anything just let me know. I met your father several months ago and he was so sweet and we talked about you. I see where you get your sweetness from and your beautiful smile.

Judy and Byron,
I just heard that Doug had passed away and I wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Doug was an incredible guy that always was there when you needed him. I know that him and my Dad had a lot of great years together at R.L. Johnson Construction. I always enjoyed working with on the projects that we did together. He always spoke highly of Byron and made sure to let me know all the great things that he was doing. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you guys?

You probably don't remember me but my husband, Sonny Townes went to school with Doug and they saw each other at the Castlewood High School Reunion in 2007. I lost my Sonny in October 2008 but he always spoke so fondly of Doug. Take comfort in family and friends and please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Judy and Bryon,

Sorry, to hear about Doug. I did not know he was sick. Doug saw me grow up as he was my Dad's right hand man R. L. Johnson Const Co. I always had fun going to my Dad's office and going in Doug's office and chatting with him. He was always telling me some interesting tidbit of information or something about his wife Judy and his son Byron. I know he was very proud of you guys and loved you very much. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I know what it's like to lose a Dad that loves you so much and you love so much and Bryon I am sure you loved him as much as he loved you. I am sure you have a lot of good memories to cherish and they will bring you smiles, laughter, and tears as you go forward in life. We all know he is in a better place now with GOD and he is not suffering.

God Bless You and your family and my thoughts and prayers are with at this difficult time.

Dear Judy and Byron,

Please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved husband and father. During the many years that Doug's company worked alongside our company, he was a special treasure to us. He always exhibited the utmost integrity, optimism, compassion for his employees, and true character. Plus, his endless supply of good humor through various antecdotes, trivia and brain-teasers kept us laughing with him every day. He had quite an impact on our company by sharing his wisdom and easy-going nature, and has made those of us who worked with him better individuals just by knowing him. He was greatly respected and will be sorely missed by us all. We continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and may you find comfort in God's peace.

Judy and Byron,
I am very saddened to hear of Doug's passing. I'll always have very fond memories of our fun trips to Gatlinburg where he kept us entertained by giving a quarter to the kid who saw the trolley first. My thoughts are with you.

Judy and Byron, your loss is our loss. Doug was a brother to me and best friend. We grew up together in Cleveland, having slept on the river bank and swimming in the river was the most memorable times of our childhood.
Doug's musical ability was unmatched, which most people do not know, he was a perfect blend of his wonderful mother and father, which we loved dearly. We will miss him.
